Tuesday Night Bar Crawl

Want a taste of the Iowa City night life before starting your full conference experience? Join us for an RBMS-style Iowa City Bar Crawl on Tuesday, June 20.

8 pm: Meet your fellow bar-crawlers in the Sheraton Lobby.* Walk over to the Clinton Street Social Club and head up the stairs, where you’ll find a speakeasy vibe, a selection of classy Midwestern bar food favorites (fresh cheese curds, anyone?), and your included first drink.**

Everything beyond the provided snacks and your first drink will be pay-as-you-go.

Entrance outside the Clinton St. Social Club

9:15 pm: Circle the block and head down the stairs of a much dive-ier Iowa City institution, Dublin Underground, where you can enjoy well-poured pints and a solid selection of whiskies surrounded by charming relics from old Ireland.**

Optional! 10 pm: Night owls should walk over to the Northside (about 0.3 miles) for some real local color. On your way to Fox Head, the local favorite of generations of writers, swing by George’s if you’re hungry for their locally-famous late night burgers and hot nuts. The sign for Fox Head isn’t very noticeable, so look for a small red building across the street from another Iowa City favorite, John’s Grocery.

* If you’re running late, please go directly to Clinton Street.
** Unfortunately, Social Club and Dublin Underground are not ADA-compliant.
