Biography
Margaret F. Nichols is the Rare Materials Cataloging Coordinator at Cornell University Library. She holds a Ph.D. in English from Cornell and an MLS from Syracuse University. She has served on various RBMS committees, including Bibliographic Standards, Publications, Budget and Development, Program Planning, and the Executive Committee, and she served as section Chair in 2003-04. Her publications include articles on collection-level cataloging, the evolution of subject headings concerning women since 1975, and the professional mindsets of special collections catalogers vs. those of archivists. She is the chair of the DCRM(MSS) editorial team.
