What can the manuscript you are holding tell you about the methods of the scribe that created it? Cheryl Jacobsen will guide you through a basic system of analyzing historic letterforms from a scribe’s point of view. We will look at various writing tools and writing surfaces and talk about the differences between them. Hands-on work with a broad-edged pen on paper will help you understand what you see on the page and hopefully inspire you to do more!
