UICB Experience Session: The Magic of Flexagons [Binding]

This will be a non-traditional binding session. Not all books are standard codices. Flexagons are mathematical models made of folded paper. Math phobics fear not, all will be revealed! Hidden inside each flexagon are concealed faces, which appear, disappear and reappear as the flexagon is manipulated. These fascinating structures present many possibilities for combining words and images. Participants will make models of each of five different flexagons. Many examples of flexagons in action will also be displayed.
NOTE: This session has limited seating and requires advance registration and a $25 fee.
