Do your instruction sessions need a boost? Do you have an instruction activity that is really successful? Come share your ideas with your colleagues, and pick up some new ones to add to your instruction tool belt! Participants will engage in a speed-dating session, pairing off for 6-minute periods to exchange ideas for collaborative learning activities and techniques to engage students with primary source materials or educate them about special collections. Activities or techniques can be simple or elaborate—what has worked well for you? The session will end with participants applying this new-found knowledge to a mock class instruction request. You should leave this session inspired and ready to work with classes!
