Here is the run-down:<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Short Papers<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Short paper sessions include panels as well as the more-traditional paper presentations. There are typically three speakers and a moderator, with time for questions and answers from the audience.<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>Wednesday <\/strong>morning you can hear about the <a href=\"http:\/\/conference.rbms.info\/2017\/session\/breakout-session-tbd\/\">Elections Reflections<\/a> project that captured immediate reactions to the 2016 presidential election, from across the U.S. and Canada. In the afternoon are two panel discussions: one on <a href=\"http:\/\/conference.rbms.info\/2017\/session\/breakout-session-tbd-4\/\">defining the archive<\/a>, with a librarian, archivist, dealer, and a media scholar; and the other on <a href=\"http:\/\/conference.rbms.info\/2017\/session\/breakout-session-tbd-6\/\">the contemporary book in its historical context<\/a>, featuring the insights of three master printers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday<\/strong> morning features three prominent librarians speaking on <a href=\"http:\/\/conference.rbms.info\/2017\/session\/breakout-session-tbd-8\/\">approaches to design and execution of exhibitions<\/a>, and in the afternoon is a panel on building and exhibiting <a href=\"http:\/\/conference.rbms.info\/2017\/session\/breakout-session-tbd-10\/\">Latin American materials and special collections in the United States<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Exploring the <a href=\"http:\/\/conference.rbms.info\/2017\/session\/breakout-session-tbd-12\/\">stories institutions tell<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/conference.rbms.info\/2017\/session\/breakout-session-tbd-13\/\">stories we tell with students<\/a> both happen <strong>Friday<\/strong> morning. The former deals with topics such as commemorative histories and cultural representations, and the latter with pedagogy and subjects specialists, digital storytelling and writing assignments in Special Collections.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Posters<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Like short papers sessions, our posters session contains a wide variety of topics, and will introduce you to a number of important projects happening around the profession.
